The 27-year-old has already helped end Newcastle United’s trophy drought, and now he could bring Champions League football back to St James’ Park.
Following Newcastle’s 5-0 win over Crystal Palace, Bruno Guimaraes and co are up to third in the Premier League table. They are five points clear of Chelsea and Aston Villa, who sit sixth and seventh respectively.
Newcastle United are riding a wave of momentum, having won six games in a row in all competitions.
With six matches remaining, the Magpies are in a very strong position to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Bruno Guimaraes’ verdict on Newcastle United beating Crystal Palace
That is the ambition, and Bruno is eager for the club to continue pushing towards its goal as the 2024/25 campaign heads towards its conclusion.
They were relentless against Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, and Bruno has given his reaction to the game on his official Instagram account.
Alongside pictures of the win over Palace, he wrote: “A very important step towards our goals! We keep fighting until the end. Step by step, game by game. Howay the lads.”

The Newcastle United midfielder who outshone Bruno Guimaraes vs Crystal Palace
In truth, the victory over Palace was one of Bruno’s quieter performances of the season.
The Brazil international was neat and tidy throughout, while he was involved in quite the battle with Crystal Palace’s Will Hughes.
Given Newcastle’s seismic lead, Jason Tindall took the opportunity to give Bruno a rest. Five minutes after being booked for a needless challenge, Bruno was substituted in the 72nd minute.
But the real star in Newcastle United’s midfield was Sandro Tonali.
Following Tonali’s performance against Manchester United, he showed no signs of slowing down against Palace. Yet again, he covered every blade of grass. The amount of ground he covered was incredible, protecting the defence with his unrivalled physical power.
He even got an assist too, providing the pass for Harvey Barnes to make it 3-0 in the first half.
Newcastle United were exceptional against Crystal Palace, and Tonali was probably the star performer.
