REPORT‼️ 🗣️Who Stays and Who Has to Go? Newcastle made Decisions clear! TRIPPIER, WILSON and ALMIRON Transfer plans comes to light!

Newcastle United have just over a week to conclude any transfer business for the 2024/25 Premier League campaign. The summer transfer window slams shut on August 30th with the Magpies still in the market for a centre-back and a right-winger.

However, given the need to comply with the Premier League’s PSR rules and avoid a repeat of earlier this summer, a number of players may have to depart.

Chronicle Live asked black and white supporters for their verdict on who should stay, and who they think should be sold this summer in our Keep or Sell survey. The results make for interesting reading.

There was a surprise number one contender to stay in the eyes of Newcastle supporters, with Tino Livramento receiving 99.1 per cent of votes to stay, with Alexander Isak receiving 99.0 per cent and Bruno Guimaraes 98.9 per cent. It’s not surprising to see an overwhelming support to stay at St. James’ Park, but you would have expected the latter of the top three to come out on top.

At the other end of the scale, Miggy Almiron received just 22.7 per cent of votes to keep him at Newcastle this summer. The winger has been linked with a return to the MLS and Saudi Arabia in the current window, with it widely accepted the Toon need to improve out on the right flank.

Matt Targett came in second bottom with just 23.2 per cent of votes to keep him, with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka receiving 23.8 per cent. Fellow goalkeeper Mark Gillespie received 34.6 per cent votes to stay, with Jamaal Lascelles having just 36.2 per cent of votes to stay.

Rounding off the votes under 50 per cent, is Newcastle striker Callum Wilson. The Magpies forward has been a huge part in United staying in the Premier League since his arrival, but with relegation no longer a major concern and European football now a target, his injury concerns have seen him fall down the pecking order behind Isak.

There can be no denying Wilson is one of the best finishers in the division when fit, but there lies the main issues. With just 42.6 per cent of votes from Newcastle supporters to keep him at the club this summer, the vast majority would like to see the Magpies cash in before his contract expires.

Another divisive vote, goes to Kieran Trippier who received just 54.8 per cent of votes in favour of keeping him at St. James Park.

The England international has been repeatedly linked with moves away from the club in the past eight months, with Bayern Munich a possibility in January and a number of clubs in Saudi Arabia keen on his services this summer. The emergence of Livramento last season means Trippier has a fight on his hands to be number one choice at right-back, and with a short time left on his current contract, supporters are split regarding his future. Academy graduate Sean Longstaff received 68.0 per cent of votes in favour of him staying at Newcastle, while there were also doubts over Emil Krafth’s long-term future at the club.
