Newcastle United fans are pleased with the news that the club are set to sell Kieran Trippier this summer.
Football Insider exclusively revealed last weekend that the right-back is expected to depart St. James’ Park this summer despite being a regular under Eddie Howe.
The experienced defender is one of the club’s top earners, and Newcastle are willing to sell him to help with PSR financial restrictions.
The 33-year-old is out of contract next summer and has suffered from poor form and injuries in recent times.
A new report has revealed that Galatasaray are interested in signing him, which could spark the end of his time with the Magpies.
Trippier has played 92 games for Newcastle since joining the club in 2022, providing four goals and 21 assists.
The England international has received interest from numerous Saudi Pro League clubs, which could be his next move.
Newcastle fans pleased to see Kieran Trippier leave following “shocking” performances
Trippier only managed to feature in 28 Premier League games last season because of his injury issues.
With mixed form throughout the season, many Newcastle fans are now ready for the versatile full-back to move on.
Good leave while he has a legacy. He was shocking for second half of season and struggled with England.

As much as I like him and appreciate what he has done for us I do feel he’s lost a yard of pace and his best seasons are behind him.

Im ok with that. He was really bad last season!
So it was obvious a weakness in our squad.

There are some culture virtues to keeping players like Trippier/Wilson, but at #nufc’s stage of growth and Uefa’s the wages to revenue ratios (which are going be closely adopted by the EPL), it feels like the right time to move both on.
Replacements will come at an initial… https://t.co/v0n3OJUOXj

A good window would probably see us getting Thiaw, Kang In Lee, a midfielder like Ederson/MGW, A RB, and a CF
Trippier Longstaff Wilson Almiron to move on along with Dubravka.#NUFC

One of the main reasons the Toon Army are behind this decision is the possibility of Tino Livramento getting more game time.
I don’t hate this. Obviously impacts on Tino’s minutes but it would also release Hall to play the Trippier role, albeit on the opposite flank.

He has been a brilliant player an captain for us but his time is up. His form has dropped off dramatically. Wether his head isn’t in the game anymore or physically he ccant do it i dont no but we all appreciate wat he’s done upto now. So glad to have tino in to take over tho
