Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson has reacted after Aston Villa announced Morgan Rogers has signed a new contract.
Johnson responded to Rogers’ Instagram post in which he expressed his delight to have committed to Villa until 2030.
The duo played together at Lincoln City on loan during the 2020-21 campaign, while Johnson was at Nottingham Forest and Rogers at Manchester City.
Commenting on the upload, Johnson said: “Congrats, brother.”

As Rogers celebrates his new deal at Aston Villa and makes his bow for England, Johnson is enjoying a stellar season so far himself.
The winger struggled with criticism from supporters initially but overcame the difficulty to score in seven straight games for club and country between September and October.
Johnson’s last goal came on 3 November in the 4-1 dismantling of Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, a game in which Rogers also found the net.
The 23-year-old has made himself a key cog in the machine of Ange Postecoglou’s free-flowing, unpredictable side, and could elevate himself to stalwart status should Son Heung-min leave anytime soon and he fills the role.
Johnson played the full match for Wales on 16 November as they drew 0-0 with Turkiye in the Nations League.
