Everton dropped points once again this season as they drew 0-0 against Brentford, and Sean Dyche has shown no signs of being able to make progress on Merseyside.
Thomas Frank’s team made their way to Goodison Park on Saturday (23 November) in the Premier League and took a point away in what felt like a victory for the Bees.
Under normal circumstances, the Blues faithful are cognisant enough to realise that Brentford have been impressive this season, and a draw isn’t the end of the world.
However, the West London club went down a man in the first half, and the home fans are right to expect more from the game.
Everton had 27 shots in the match but were unable to beat Mark Flekken, highlighting the lack of potency up front, and with 59 per cent possession, the team still only had an xG of 1.15 in the fixture [FotMob].
Boos rang out at Goodison following another draw, and it’s time for Dyche to pack his bags, with the Toffees’ supporters clearly not behind the Englishman.
The Blues are 15th in the league table at the moment with 11 points on the board after 12 matches, which showcases the dire circumstances the Merseysiders are in.
Sean Dyche must be sacked at Everton
Dyche needs to be commended for what he’s done at Everton in the past, helping them avoid relegation when it looked likely that the Toffees would go down to the Championship.
The 53-year-old also did well last season as he kept the Blues up despite the ridiculous points deductions, but the lack of development this term has been frustrating.
Dyche is lucky that he’s still in the job after Everton lost the opening four matches in the Premier League this season.
The Toffees played out a drab 0-0 draw against West Ham on 9 November as well, and it’s clear that the former Burnley manager is out of ideas at the club.
With The Friedkin Group set to take over from Farhad Moshiri, the Goodison faithful will be hoping for significant changes at the Merseyside outfit, and one of them will certainly be the dismissal of Dyche.
Rather than waiting until his contract expires at the end of the season, the club quite simply have to act right now.
