Everton have been told to stick with Sean Dyche until the end of the season, with Jason Cundy giving the English manager his seal of approval.
The Toffees took on Thomas Frank’s team at home in the Premier League on 23 November, with Dyche’s team unable to find the back of the net despite having a one-man advantage
Speaking on talkSPORT [23 November, 19:11], Cundy agreed with a caller who argued that the Merseyside outfit would get relegated if they were to sack the 53-year-old.
“I kind of agree with that. I do agree with that because if you were Everton right now, you’d look for a Dyche. And you’ve got him,” he said.
The talkSPORT host further asked whether there are talks about replacing the former Burnley head coach, to which the caller revealed that many of the Goodison faithful wanted to see him gone.
Cundy responded: “I’m not totally convinced that that’s going to be the right decision.”

While Dyche has built a pedigree over the years of keeping teams in the English top flight with limited resources, the Englishman is the reason why the Blues are in their current predicament.
The 53-year-old was instrumental in helping the Merseyside outfit survive the drop in the 2022/23 season, but his pragmatic approach is proving detrimental at Goodison.
Everton are hovering just above the relegation zone at the moment, and the upcoming set of fixtures don’t look encouraging for the Toffees, as they are set to face Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City in a span of 12 days in December in the league.
It’s a realistic scenario that the Blues could be in the bottom three at the start of next year, and the Merseysiders can’t let things get worse before making a decision on Dyche.
The Friedkin Group are set to take over from Farhad Moshiri, and there have been reports that the new owners will review the English head coach’s position once they arrive [Alan Nixon, 17 November].
Dan Friedkin must know that the writing is on the wall, and his first step at the Toffees must be the appointment of a new manager.
