James Forrest established another piece of history at Celtic after scoring in the 1-1 draw with St Mirren at Celtic Park.
Celtic snatched a point after St Mirren seized the lead early in the 51st minute to threaten to put a dampener on Trophy Day at Parkhead.
But just when it looked like the festivities were going to kick off with a defeat, up jumped Celtic hero James Forrest to cap the season with a fairy tale ending.

And while the Celtic winger earned the coveted record of scoring in 16 seasons in a row in amazing fashion, Chris Sutton, unbelievably, had to defend Forrest from some dumb comments by Robbie Savage.

Sutton was applauding Forrest for his extraordinary feat as he hailed the ‘fantastic’ Celtic winger’s goalscoring record.
On the other hand, Savage responded in his typical shock jock fashion, which resulted in Sutton, a Celtic hero, giving him a slap down instead.
“James Forrest, Rob,” Sutton stated on BBC 606 at the 51 to 50 second mark. This player has been an incredible asset to Celtic. For the sixteenth season in a row already.
Tonight, he was able to score a goal for Celtic. That’s absolutely incredible, isn’t it incredible?
The following is a quote from Savage: “Well, you really ought to, if you are a forward player playing for Celtic, you ought to score in each and every season that you compete up there.” So, let’s be completely forthright.
Sutton: “Would you like to retract how you said that? We will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate some respect for us.
“Let’s be fair, though,” suggested Savage. Pay attention, this is an incredible accomplishment. If you are a forward player who plays for Celtic, I am willing to wager that you have scored at least one goal in each and every season that you have played for Celtic.
Rob is the player with the most accolades in Celtic’s history, according to Sutton.
