Everton thumped Wolves 4-0 at Goodison Park on Wednesday evening.
Sean Dyche was in desperate need of a win as pressure was beginning to mount on his job ahead of the Friedkin Group’s takeover.

Alan Myers predicted the takeover to be completed next week and many thought as soon as they were in post, they’d make a change in the dugout.
But the pressure has certainly eased on the Everton boss as his side have now put a five-point buffer between them and the bottom three.
The four-goal affair ended a winless run of five games and it was crucial they picked up three points against Wolves as they’re about to head into a torrid run of fixtures.
The Toffees can be thankful for one man in particular, who actually received a round of applause from his teammates in the dressing room after the game.

Ashley Young made Premier League history against Wolves as he became the oldest player to score directly from a free-kick.
The 39-year-old’s superb curling effort also made him Everton’s oldest-ever goalscorer, evincing his terrific longevity.
Young was also sound defensively and made a whopping seven tackles, so he was totally deserving of the Man of the Match award.
Speaking post-match, Dyche revealed that Everton players actually gave him a round of applause in the dressing room.
On Young’s performance, he said: “Yeah, tremendous, tremendous. He’s just got a round of applause of his teammates. They know what he brings, they know what he’s about. You know, I just wish I could have had him at 26, it’s as simple as that.
“What a player.”

Everton must build on momentum vs Liverpool
A big weekend now lies ahead for Everton as they prepare to host Liverpool in the infamous Merseyside derby.
Dyche’s men must carry their positive momentum into the game and have the belief they can defeat the league leaders.
Liverpool showed frailties against Newcastle as they were held to a 3-3 draw at St James’ Park, so clearly there are weaknesses to exploit.
