“I must confess”. Repentant pundit admits he’s now ‘turned blue’ and is Everton supporter.

Everton and Liverpool were gearing up to play the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Saturday.

However, the Merseyside derby had to be called off due to Storm Darragh and will now be rearranged for a later date.

“Following a Safety Advisory Group meeting at Goodison Park, attended by officials from both clubs, as well as representatives from Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council this morning, it was decided that, due to the risk to safety in the local area due to strong wind gusts, and an amber severe wind warning that remains in place until 6am on Sunday, today’s fixture should be postponed on safety grounds,” Everton confirmed.

Local food banks benefited from the postponement, as Everton made sure no food was wasted from the Goodison Park clash.

Attention has now turned to when the game could be rescheduled and it has been mooted to take place in either gameweek 24, 25 or 33, though nothing is official just yet.

Untill then, the rivalry will continue to rumble in the backdrop with both sets of supporters looking out for each others results – which is a standard tradition.

And with that said, in the aftermath of the postponement, a pundit has now admitted that he’s gone from supporting Liverpool to Everton – leaving many stunned

The pundit notes that he leaned towards Liverpool during their pomp but always recognised that the ‘good guys’ were at Everton and has now ‘turned blue

Keys’ co-hosts insisted that he couldn’t do that but he made the reference to Peter Reid in defence of himself.

Everton legend Reid has previously admitted he used to be a Red.
