David Moyes would be open to a sensational return to Everton should Sean Dyche be dismissed from his role in the coming weeks.
That is according to former Man United and West Ham scout Mick Brown, who worked closely with Moyes at the London Stadium, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the boss is still highly thought of on Merseyside.

This comes after Football Insider revealed on 6 December that the boss is keen to return to the Premier League after leaving West Ham in June.
Despite a 4-0 win against Wolves in their last Premier League outing, speculation about Dyche’s future refuses to die down ahead of the change of ownership.
The Friedkin Group’s purchase of Farhad Moshiri’s 94% stake in the club is expected to be finalised before the end of the year, and they have been tipped to make big changes.
Football Insider revealed in October that the new owners plan to sack the manager and bring in a new boss as they do not believe Dyche is the right man to lead them out at the new stadium.
Moyes has been highlighted as a potential option to take over at Goodison Park, having previously left the club to join Man United in 2013.

Everton have won just three of their 14 games so far this season, and have struggled in front of goal with just 14 goals in that time, adding to speculation over Dyche’s future.
Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game after working for the likes of Aston Villa, Blackburn and Tottenham, insisted that the new owners will make the final decision, but Moyes remains a potential target.
“Moyes is still very highly thought of at Everton,” he told Football Insider.
“He did an incredible job there over a number of years, you don’t see that often these days, and then he was cherry-picked by Man United.
“Now, he lives at St Annes, which is not a million miles away from Liverpool, so he’s already local.
“And I’ve heard he’s keen to get back into management and back to the Premier League.
“Plus, he’s available immediately and they wouldn’t have to pay compensation, which is a plus.
“So he’s definitely going to be under consideration for them, and I’m led to believe he would welcome a return to Everton as well.
“I think it would be a move that makes a lot of sense for both sides, if the new owners decide to go in a different direction from Sean Dyche.
“Ultimately it’s up to them, when they come in, where they decide to go with it.”
