TFG now await written agreement by Kenwright estate in Everton takeover twist
The Friedkin Group are awaiting written confirmation from the Kenwright estate to remove an Everton takeover notice, according to the Esk.
Writing via X [13 December], the Blues insider reported that should 95 per cent of Everton shareholders provide written agreement, the 14-day notice period for a general meeting of shareholders could be removed. It comes after the Friedkin Group received Premier League approval to proceed with their takeover of the Toffees on Friday [via Sky Sports News on X, 13 December].
A meeting could be held without a notice period and virtually should 95 per cent of shareholders agree, a total which could be made up by Farhad Moshiri and the Kenwright estate alone.
Henry Winter has exclusively revealed to Goodison News that the Friedkin Group are set to finalise paperwork ahead of their takeover, and that process could be sped up with a helping hand from the Kenwright estate.

Moshiri is selling his 94.1 per cent share in Everton to the Friedkin Group, and it looks as though a takeover is set to go ahead on Merseyside, with an update shared on the future of Kevin Thelwell in light of this news [via TEAMtalk, 13 December].
However, after what has already been a long and drawn-out process for supporters at Goodison Park, it appears as though there could yet be a bit more waiting.
The Kenwright estate owns 1.3 per cent of the shares in Everton. Therefore, should they agree, a meeting could be held right away which would allow the Friedkin Group to proceed with their takeover.
However, should the Kenwright estate hold off, the waiting game could continue. Of course, considering Moshiri owns 94.1 per cent of the club, another minority shareholder could step in and provide written agreement, should the Kenwright estate refuse for whatever reason.
However, it appears that whatever happens, it is now just a matter of time before the Friedkin Group arrive in the Premier League.
