Aston Villa ‘to make move for £15m AC Milan star’ who could completely transform there season, they need him

Aston Villa may be about to cause West Ham United a very big problem in the January transfer window.

Both West Ham and Aston Villa are in need of reinforcements at the London Stadium and Villa Park respectively in the January window, as Julen Lopetegui and Unai Emery look to strengthen their squads.

Lopetegui has a lot of work to do at West Ham, with numerous new signings needed, including a powerful box-to-box midfielder.

The same could be said for Emery at Aston Villa, with the Spaniard’s engine room severely lacking in quality since Douglas Luiz’s exit.

Now it seems like both clubs could be battling it out for the same player.

And that’s terrible news for West Ham.
Aston Villa battling West Ham for Yunus Musah

According to a report from MilanLive, West Ham are keen to sign Yunus Musah from AC Milan for around £14.8 million in January.

However, the bad news is that Aston Villa want the powerful central midfielder as well.

The Villans can offer Champions League football to the 45-capped United States international.

And that may well put Villa in prime position to beat the Hammers to the 22-year-old’s signature this winter.

West Ham actually tied to sign Musah from Valencia in the summer of 2023, but the American ended up choosing Milan instead.

I would absolutely love him at the London Stadium – he possesses everything we currently lack in the middle of the park.

He has the power, energy and athleticism needed to succeed in the Premier League and has an incredibly high ceiling.

Goal have described the United States international as ‘phenomenal’, and they’re not wrong, Musah is an elite player in the making.

If he continues to work hard and applies himself properly both on and off the pitch, then I have no doubts in my mind that he’ll go on to become one of the very best midfielders in world football.

If Yunus Musah truly is available for just £14.8 million in January, West Ham must go all out to sign him, but Aston Villa will clearly be a problem for us.
