Everton have been dragged back into a real relegation battle over the weekend with results just not going their way.
The Friedkin Group have arrived on Merseyside with a lot of work needing to be done to turn around the Toffees from the club they have become.
Sean Dyche was left frustrated with his Everton side on Sunday following their defeat at home against Nottingham Forest.
With Ipswich Town and Wolves both pulling off results against some of the bigger sides in the league, Everton enter the year narrowly above the drop zone.
And this will now only increase the scrutiny surrounding Dyche’s position at the club following the takeover.
The Friedkin Group’s stance on sacking Sean Dyche at Everton
Following the takeover, Dyche held a meeting with Marc Watts where the support of the new owners was shared.
According to TeamTalk, Dyche is fully aware of his situation at Goodison Park with his contract set to run out at the end of the campaign.
However, as things stand, it would take a dramatic decline in results for them to make the decision to sack him during the season.
That may also be a result of the Friedkins’ shortlist consisting of managers who are not looking for a new role currently.
Everton have Max Allegri on their radar to replace Dyche, but he is waiting until the summer to decide on his next job.
