It is no secret that Everton have struggled in front of goal this season with only one other side scoring fewer.
Going into January, there have been some big questions surrounding the future of some Everton forwards.
Beto is receiving serious interest from Italy and could well be a player who could be set to make his exit from Merseyside this month.
Sean Dyche mixed things up on the weekend with Armando Broja coming in from the start in place of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
But as the Toffees continue to struggle in front of goal, there have been some suggestions that January additions could be made.
Everton handed Evan Ferguson advantage by Brighton
It has already been claimed Everton are one of the sides keen on Evan Ferguson this month with his future on the south coast under scrutiny.
And according to Sky Sports, Everton may have just been handed a big boost in the race to land his signature.
With the youngster in search of more regular minutes, it’s been suggested Brighton would be willing to offload Ferguson on a short-term loan deal.
However, they would not be looking to deal with a side like Fulham who are offering them direct competition in the league standings.
James Milner previously told Eurosport that Ferguson was a ‘phenomenal’ talent, but he has struggled under new manager Fabian Hurzeler.
But there may well need to be movement the other way for Everton to bring in players following years of PSR neglect under Farhad Moshiri.
Everton have no rooms for further loan signings
There is, however, one major issue for the Toffees if they are considering bringing in Ferguson on loan this month.
Everton have already hit their of loan additions for the season with four players currently at the club on a temporary basis.

- Orel Mangala
- Jesper Lindstrom
There could be ways around that with Everton able to terminate Jack Harrison’s loan from Leeds United as he continues to struggle.
Alternatively, Everton could make their loan signing of Orel Mangala permanent as he has made an impression on the starting XI under Dyche.
This makes the addition of Ferguson very difficult, but it would not be impossible.
