A supercomputer has predicted the 2024-25 Premier League table, and if proven to be correct, Arsenal face yet another season of missing out on the title, while Manchester City’s slump shows no sign of being remedied. Last term bore out a title race full of twists and turns as the Gunners were part of three teams challenging for the biggest honour in English domestic football. As Liverpool fell away eventually, Manchester City were left to do their thing.
Indeed, Pep Guardiola‘s men powered to a record fourth consecutive Premier League title, while Mikel Arteta and co. fell short by just two points – despite picking up two more wins than the Invincibles managed. The Reds claimed third place, while Aston Villa just edged Spurs to grab the final Champions League spot.

Enzo Maresca, formerly of Leicester City, has been tipped for a very successful debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea predicted to finish third on 71 points with a goal difference of +28 – if that is to come true, the west Londoners would return to where they believe they belong: Europe’s top table.
Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur, according to the supercomputer, won’t be able to improve upon their fifth place finish last term. Instead, they will drop as lowly as 10th, with Fulham forecasted to grab the second, and unguaranteed, Europa League spot. If the predictions are correct, Marco Silva’s side will finish on 66 points, level with fifth-placed Man City as the two clubs will be closely chased down by Newcastle United (seventh with 63 points) and Aston Villa (8th, also with 63 points).
Despite facing the worst fitness record in the top division this season and still adapting to life under the Premier League’s youngest-ever manager, Fabian Hurzeler, Brighton and Hove Albion are still expected to finish ninth. Given the circumstances, this would be viewed as a relatively successful debut campaign.
Mid-Table Obscurity
Bournemouth above the likes of West Ham and Manchester United
As somewhat expected after a successful transition season last time out, Andoni iraola – with the help of in-form forward-thinkers Antoine Semenyo, Evanilson, and Justin Kluivert – and Bournemouth are predicted not to struggle, with them only just missing out on the top 10. The supercomputer predicts them to finish in 11th on 54 points.
West Ham United are set to be one of the biggest disappointments after such an exciting summer transfer window, with Julen Lopetegui – formerly of Real Madrid – guiding the Irons to a 12th-placed finish in 2024/25. However, given they currently find themselves 13th with one win in four, the disgruntled London Stadium regulars will probably take whatever they can right now.
Crystal Palace and Brentford are expected to finish 13th and 14th, respectively. Brentford, with the in-form Bryan Mbeumo, may feel disappointed with this prediction, especially after their strong start to the season. However, none will be more disappointed than Manchester United, who had hoped Ruben Amorim would guide them back on track.
The supercomputer has predicted that the former Sporting Lisbon boss will be unable to turn around Manchester United’s worst start to a league season since 1986/87, with them finishing 15th come May 10. If this proves to be the case, it’ll be the Red Devils’ worst-ever Premier League finish, and they will finish a massive 59 points behind Liverpool, as the post-Ferguson blues continue to trudge on at a worrying rate.

The final two teams to go down are less surprising, as many would’ve been tipping Ipswich Town and Southampton to do so at the start of the season. Between the pair, they are only set to have that winning feeling seven times all year.
