With Bruno Guimaraes afforded a rare rest on a matchday, he watched Newcastle’s semi-final clash from home with his family.
Guimaraes posted a 12-word message after Newcastle’s remarkable win and shortly after the full-time whistle he was spotted dancing around his house with his family.
His wife, Ana Lidia Martins, posted a video of Guimaraes celebrating the victory on Instagram.

Howe decided to replace Guimaraes with Joe Willock in midfield, and even though Willock did not have his best game against Arsenal, Newcastle dug in and churned out a result.

Howe has found a perfect balance in midfield with Guimaraes playing in a trio alongside Sandro Tonali and Joelinton.
Tonali was excellent against Arsenal with the Italian continuing his incredible run of form since dropping into a deeper role.
Newcastle are now just 90 minutes of football away from booking their spot at Wembley Stadium for their second cup final under Howe.
Thankfully, Guimaraes will be back available for the second leg at St James’ Park as Newcastle look to defend their lead in Tyneside.
