Everton are looking forward to a “new era” in the words of The Friedkin Group, following their social media post on Tuesday night.
TFG shared on X (7 January) an exciting video of the latest view of the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium and its recent developments, claiming the finished article from the start of next season will be a “game-changer”.
Everton have only a handful of remaining games at their iconic home of Goodison Park, before making the move across to the docks later this year ahead of the 2025-26 campaign’s kick-off.
The post from the Toffees’ new ownership read: “It’s a new era for Everton!
“The club will close out its season at the historic Goodison Park before transitioning to the new Everton Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.
“The club’s new 52,888-seater stadium, located on Liverpool’s world-famous waterfront, is set to be a game-changer.”
TFG jump on Everton excitement over new stadium
With TFG’s public involvement in the hype of Everton’s imminent stadium move, Toffees fans will begin to gather in excitement.
The emotion of leaving Goodison behind will leave thousands inconsolable for a period of time, but football waits for no-one and the sky is the limit for Everton under the Friedkins in their elegant new waterfront arena.
TFG are themselves a significant part of making the “new era” possible, with the deal finally completed last month to take the reins on the blue half of Merseyside from Farhad Moshiri – a massive sigh of relief for the faithful.
The Toffees will now be focused on remaining in the Premier League to ensure their strategy is on track both financially and on the pitch, while TFG exercise their American contacts book to help arrange a more productive and stable way of paying off the club’s debts over a sustained timeframe.
For now, the Gwladys Street will fill up for the first time in 2025 as Peterborough United visit on Thursday in the FA Cup third round (9 January).
