There has been a lot of speculation about Beto in recent weeks.
Under Sean Dyche, the striker was not a regular starter and as a result of his standing in the squad, there’s been talk of him leaving in this transfer window.
Beto has been of interest to Torino for a while.
Last weekend, Beto was pictured at an airport, with one user on X claiming that he was off to Turin.
But Dyche appeared at his press conference, which turned out to be his final one after he was sacked on Thursday, and said Beto had been around at Finch Farm and had trained on Tuesday.
Speculation remains about what will happen with Beto in the coming weeks, but now a new claim has been made about the Guinea-Bissau international.
Everton want £10m for Beto, but Torino currently nowhere near the asking price
Torino are keen to sign Beto this month, and previously, a loan deal has been mooted, with an obligation to buy.
Beto is thought to have given a move to Torino the green light. But that will count for nothing if the clubs can’t agree a deal.
TEAMtalk has given an update on the situation this evening, and reported that currently, there is work to be done for a deal to happen.
Everton are said to want around £10 million for Beto. Meanwhile, Torino has shown no willingness to offer above £5 million.
It is not made clear if Everton are seeking the £10 million now, or via an obligation clause for the summer.
Broja injury could stop Beto’s transfer deal’s Everton exit
So seemingly the two clubs are quite far apart right now in terms of Beto’s valuation.
But it’s possible a move can’t happen this month now because of the injury to Armando Broja.
Broja suffered a serious knee injury against Peterborough United on Thursday night in the FA Cup, and Alan Myers suggested Broja’s injury could prevent Beto from leaving Everton.
It could well be that Beto will not be permitted to leave, unless Everton can bring in at least one other striker.
