Isak is undoubtedly Newcastle’s hottest asset at the moment thanks to his red-hot form this season scoring 15 goals in all competitions.
Isak has had one of the best-attacking returns in Europe’s top five leagues since December with 11, only Mohamed Salah has done more in the same timeframe.
Arsenal are interested in signing Isak, the Swede has caught the eye of Mikel Arteta who said Isak has “real quality”.
A deal for the 25-year-old won’t be easy by any means – Newcastle have slapped a £150million price tag on Isakwhich is a sign that Eddie Howeand sporting director Paul Mitchell aren’t willing to let Isak go easily.
The thought is that Arsenal can’t afford Isak and will need to sell prized assets if they want to break the British transfer fee record.
One player they looked to sell was Gabriel Jesus, however, on Sunday the Brazilian was stretchered off in the Gunners’ defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup.

Arteta admitted Jesus’ injury “didn’t look good”, outlets have now confirmed that the 27-year-old has a suspected ACL injury which will keep him out until the end of the season at least.
The kicker for Arsenal is that if the injury is serious enough, he may not be able to leave the club until January 2026.
Sven Botman has only just returned from an ACL injury which took him 10 months to recover from. Jamaal Lascelles suffered the same injury just a couple of weeks later and is yet to return to Newcastle’s first team.
While Isak looks set to stay at Newcastle until the end of the season, a player of his quality may have his sights set elsewhere if the Magpies can’t live up to his demands.
Isak wants to play in the Champions League and believes that Newcastle can qualify for that next season. The Magpies are currently sat fifth in the Premier League table, just a point off the automatic qualification spots.
However, a fifth-placed finish could be enough for Newcastle if English clubs perform well in Europe this season.
Newcastle narrowly missed out on European football last season despite finishing in seventh place. The Magpies would’ve been playing in the Europa Conference League had it not been for Man United’s FA Cup win.
