“KICK-OFF CHAOS: Newcastle Star’s Explosive Admission Sends Shockwaves Through St. James’ Park Ahead of Today’s Clash!”

Newcastle forward Bruno Guimaraes has told friends he wants to quit the club, sources have told Football Insider. The 26-year-old has his eyes set on a mega-money move to Manchester City, who are willing to pay a reported £66million for his signature.

No deal is close, but Guimaraes has made up his mind to leave Newcastle, who paid Lyon a reported £40million for his signature in 2022. It is believed the Brazil international has become fed up with his role under Magpies boss Eddie Howe.

Guimaraes has made seven starts in nine appearances across all competitions this term, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in the 2024-25 campaign.

The midfielder also missed parts of last season through injury but scored five goals in 27 games across all competitions.

Guimaraes is under contract with Newcastle until June 2026 and is yet to sign an extension during his time with the Magpies. He has primarily lined up as a central midfielder during his time with Newcastle.

The news comes as a shock to Newcastle fans, especially on the day of their crucial match against Bournemouth at St. James’ Park. Newcastle will be looking to secure a win, but the distraction of Guimaraes’ potential departure may affect the team’s performance.

Newcastle and Howe also have the likes of Sean Longstaff, Joe Willock, and Elliot Anderson to call on in midfield areas.
