Beto is ready to leave Everton and return to Serie A but Torino are yet to match the price tag on the striker, according to TuttoSport.
The Italian news outlet reported (20 January) that while the Toffees man has his “bags in his hand” to head to Turin, there is a reluctance to let him leave Goodison Park for Torino’s valuation of around £12.7million.
Everton value Beto closer to £17million (TuttoSport) and are themselves short of strikers, the same case affecting a Torino side who earlier this season lost Duvan Zapata to a serious knee ligament injury.
David Moyes did not bring the Guinea-Bissau international off the bench in the 3-2 win over Tottenham on Sunday (19 January), which is noted as a denial by the striker.
Everton need more firepower but could lose Beto
Everton only have Dominic Calvert-Lewin along with Beto as their fit centre-forward options at present, and both have been heavily linked away.
Calvert-Lewin finally broke his duck with the opening goal against Spurs, his first goal since September, but Beto has still struggled to displace him.
Sean Dyche had preferred Armando Broja as an alternative in his final games, but his injury against Peterborough elevated Calvert-Lewin back to first-choice and Beto remained in the abyss.

The opportunity to feel wanted again in Serie A, a league he knows well, unsurprisingly appeals to Beto, who perhaps doesn’t feel part of Moyes’ exciting future plans.
Everton will ensure they receive an adequate fee should they concede the 26-year-old during this transfer window, with enough time to sign a replacement with more firepower than they currently have.
