Yves Bissouma had an update for Tottenham fans as the side prepare for their Europa League quarter-final clash.

Tottenham will welcome Eintracht Frankfurt in what represents their final shot at silverware this season under Ange Postecoglou.

It’s been a difficult campaign for Bissouma, who started the season as a a starter in the side but has since seen his role reduced to a more rotational one, with injuries and inconsistency halting any real momentum.

His performances have disappointed, and Football Insider revealed that Tottenham are now open to offers for Bissouma in the summer transfer window.

Amid the ongoing speculation about his future, the Mali international dropped a message directed at another teammate as they prepare for their European clash.

However, despite the camaraderie between the two, many Tottenham fans have called for Bissouma to be sold following a disappointing season.

The former Brighton man has only started 14 Premier League matches this campaign and featured just four times in the Europa League. A start against Frankfurt would come as a surprise to some supporters given his current standing in the squad.

His influence has faded as inconsistent performances have seen him fall behind emerging talents like Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall in the pecking order.

Bissouma’s performances have also been criticised by pundits with his work-rate coming under the microscope in the middle of the park.

With Rodrigo Bentancur also linked with an exit from Tottenham, a major midfield shake-up could be on the horizon for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Ange Postecoglou clings to Europa League hopes amid mounting pressure

Postecoglou has been under increasing pressure, with 16 league defeats souring his second season in charge and the Europa League now representing his only realistic path to silverware.

Tottenham supporters have called for Postecoglou to be sacked, particularly after a heated exchange with fans during the recent defeat to Chelsea–an incident that further strained his relationship with the Tottenham faithful.

Earlier this season, the Australian boldly claimed he “always wins things” in his second year at a club. If that promise ends in European glory, it may yet silence the noise around his future–at least for now.
