David Moyes warned his forwards about poor form as Dominic Calvert-Lewin finally showed he could be relied in the Toffees’ win on Sunday against Tottenham.
After the encounter, Everton fans were raving about Calvert-Lewin which may have taken some pressure off the current main striker at the Toffees.
However, with Ferguson open to an Everton move these new findings may leave Calvert-Lewin with some competition come February.

As the Irishman is keen on the idea of playing at Goodison Park, this could give Moyes every chance to provide some competition for Calvert-Lewin.
Ferguson has been struggling to stay fit which could put the Everton boss off the move, but with someone of the 20-year-old’s potential in the frame, it seems like a no-brainer.
Well-renowned journalist, David Ornstein, has given an update on Brighton’s stance with Ferguson, via The Athletic.
Evan Ferguson is due to be back in training this week, at which stage Brighton will make their decision on what to do with the striker this window, whether it’s a loan deal or not.
Brighton’s form has improved, which may lead Fabian Hurzeler to be more ‘inclined’ to let Ferguson go out on loan to get more game time.
There is interest from West Ham, Bournemouth, and European teams, as a deal is likely to go down to the wire and he may still stay at Brighton.

Everton should double down on Ferguson interest
It’s not every day Everton have the opportunity to sign one of the most promising strikers in England.
It’s a scenario where Everton may only have this one chance to take on the Irishman who has such a big future judging by his start at Brighton.

23/24 (Age: 19) Games: 29 – Goals: 6
24/25 (Age 20) Games 14 – Goals 1
Injuries have certainly taken its toll on the striker this campaign, but as he returns to fitness, Moyes could grab the striker at his best.
As Moyes can spend £40 million this January, he can save some funds through a loan deal which could propel Everton to safety.
