The Everton boss will have given the squad a harsh reality of the club’s situation, with Moyes even calling out Everton players to the media.
A few players have reacted well so far, but some are still stuck in the Sean Dyche era.

David Moyes on Jack Harrison losing confidence since Sean Dyche reign
Jack Harrison hasn’t had the greatest of times when it comes to his career at Everton.
The winger on loan from Leeds United hasn’t managed to contribute at all this season after his bright campaign in 23/24 produced seven goal contributions.
Harrison showed promise at Leeds as well in past seasons in the Premier League so it’s obvious there is a player in there.
Moyes spoke in the Brighton pre-match press conference on Harrison (22:23) about what he’s noticed since returning to the club.
“I always liked Jack when he was at Leeds United – I don’t think anyone would question his effort and energy,” Moyes said.
“He’s probably lost a bit of confidence so we need to bring that back.”

Harrison can learn from Calvert-Lewin’s early start under Moyes at Everton
The 28-year-old’s statistics this season make for hard viewing as Everton fans and maybe even some Leeds fans will feel for the winger.

Harrison is an example of someone who hasn’t taken in the new environment, whereas someone like Dominic Calvert-Lewin has.
The winger could learn a thing or two from Everton’s no.9, as Moyes said he would give confidence to Calvert-Lewin and that was shown after Everton fans hailed the striker.
It may take time for Harrison to get back on the right track, but Moyes’ promise to the winger could see him regain the form he is so desperately craving.
