Brighton have rejected a bid for West Ham target Evan Ferguson, according to The Athletic.
An anonymous source close to the Seagulls told the online outlet (28 January) that a permanent offer has already been turned down at the Amex.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side are open to letting the 20-year-old depart for good in January amid interest from Premier League sides like the Hammers as well as European outfits like Marseille.

It appears that a deal with the Seagulls could be possible before the winter window slams shut on 3 February.
This will be music to Graham Potter’s ears who is said to be keen on reuniting with the Republic of Ireland international at the London Stadium.
The English head coach handed Ferguson his debut at the Amex which could make a move more likely for the Hammers in January.
What might work against the Irons is their desperate need for a striker which could see Brighton drive up the fee involved, if a permanent move is allowed.
Given that a bid has already been rejected on the South Coast, it shows that a deal will not be easy but that can’t put off Potter and Co. with limited time remaining in the window.
There is a deal to be had with Hurzeler’s side and a permanent move could ultimately suit all parties best but won’t be as straightforward as a loan move may have been.
