Everton are set to sign Carlos Alcaraz after he travelled to Merseyside for a medical, according to the Mail on Sunday.
The newspaper reported on 2 February (page 84) that the Toffees will complete the loan signing of the 22-year-old from Flamengo ahead of the 3 February deadline.
This comes after the Argentine travelled to Goodison Park to undergo a medical test ahead of a temporary return to the Premier League.

It appears that David Moyes is finally going to get his first signing in since returning to L4 at the beginning of January.
Given the injuries that the Scot has had to deal with already at Goodison, it is fair to say that he would have wanted this move to happen sooner.
Regardless of that, the ex-Manchester United boss will be pleased to have brought Alcaraz in, especially after Orel Mangala’s season-ending injury.
The former Southampton ace will provide an attacking edge to the Toffees midfield after a frustrating spell since joining Flamengo in Brazil.
After making his debut for the Serie A outfit, the Argentine has made just 20 appearances and could certainly benefit from regular minutes in a top league.
There is every chance that the Coppa Italia winner with Juventus should come in and be a starter under Moyes almost immediately.
This could be a blow to the likes of James Garner who will be forced to prove a point to the head coach so soon after returning to the side.
