Harry Kane proves Tottenham fans were right about Erling Haaland debate

The debate over who is the better striker between Harry Kane and Erling Haaland has raged on for years, but after yet another record-breaking display in the Bundesliga, the Tottenham Hotspur faithful might feel they have been vindicated.

Harry Kane has been in prolific form since swapping the Premier League for the Bundesliga, and his latest milestone only strengthens his reputation as one of the finest finishers in the game.
On Saturday, during Bayern Munich’s clash against Holstein Kiel, the England captain reached 50 Bundesliga appearances, and in typical fashion, he marked the occasion with a brace.

The first goal came just before half-time when Kane expertly met a Kingsley Coman cross with a precise header to double Bayern’s lead.

Moments into the second half, he was at it again, this time rising to meet a Raphaël Guerreiro delivery and powering home yet another header.

It was a performance that not only helped Bayern secure a comfortable victory but also further cemented Kane’s status as a dominant force in Germany’s top flight.

Harry Kane eclipses Erling Haaland’s Bundesliga record
The goals against Holstein Kiel brought Kane’s Bundesliga tally to 55 goals in 50 appearances, setting a new record for the most goals scored by any player in their first 50 matches in Germany’s top division.
The previous record, held by Haaland from his time at Borussia Dortmund, stood at 50 goals in 50 games, but Kane’s relentless consistency has now pushed him beyond that mark.

His numbers this season alone are staggering. Kane has found the net 19 times in just 18 Bundesliga appearances, while in the UEFA Champions League, he has already struck six times in seven matches.

Such a return has not only made him the focal point of Bayern’s attack but has also given weight to the argument that, in terms of pure goal-scoring ability, he may well be a more complete striker than Haaland.
