Tottenham Hotspur have suffered another major injury blow, with Radu Dragusin ruled out for the remainder of the 2024/25 season after sustaining a serious knee injury.
The Romanian centre-back suffered an ACL injury in his right knee during Spurs’ 3-0 Europa League win over IF Elfsborg last week. The club has confirmed that Dragusin will undergo surgery, with the medical team monitoring his recovery in the coming months.
This setback comes at a crucial time for Tottenham and manager Ange Postecoglou, who has already been forced to navigate a season riddled with defensive injuries. With Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven both enduring extended spells on the sidelines earlier in the season, Dragusin stepped up to form a solid partnership with summer signing Archie Gray.
Despite the challenging circumstances, Dragusin delivered consistent and commendable performances, proving his importance to the team.

Dragusin arrived at Tottenham from Genoa in January 2024 for a reported €25 million, becoming the most expensive Romanian footballer in history. He made his Premier League debut just days later in a 2-2 draw against Manchester United.

With his season now officially over, questions arise over whether Dragusin has played his final game for Spurs. His agent has recently refused to rule out a summer exit, expressing frustration over his limited game time before injuries forced him into the starting lineup. Several European clubs have expressed interest in signing him including PSG and Napoli.
Tottenham will hope Dragusin makes a full recovery, but his long-term future at the club remains uncertain as Spurs continue to rebuild their defence.
