A Supercomputer has predicted the 2024-25 Premier League table, and if proven to be correct, Arsenal face yet another season of missing out on the title, while Manchester City’s slump shows no sign of being remedied. Last term bore out a title race full of twists and turns as the Gunners were part of three teams challenging for the biggest honour in English domestic football. As Liverpool fell away eventually, Man City were left to do their thing.
Indeed, Pep Guardiola‘s men powered to a record fourth consecutive Premier League title, while Mikel Arteta and co. fell short by just two points – despite picking up two more wins than the Invincibles managed. The Reds claimed third place, while Aston Villa just edged Spurs to grab the final Champions League spot.

With speculation mounting over Guardiola’s future, despite the Catalan native recently signing a two-year contract extension at the club, the Citizens may not be able to extend their record-breaking streak of top flight crowns. Alas, the Supercomputer has predicted that his side will still finish in fourth on, by their standards, a measly 73 points following a heavy 5-1 defeat against Arsenal.
It would mark the first time the Citizens have finished below a traditional medal position since Guardiola took charge in 2016, thus leaving them 20 points astray of long-term adversaries, Liverpool.

Chris Wood and Co are firing on all cylinders at the minute, and after flirting with relegation last term, look set to qualify for Europe’s premier competition for the first time since 1995.
Enzo Maresca and Chelsea, according to the Supercomputer, won’t be able to regain their form from the start of the season. Instead, they will drop as lowly as 7th. The Blues have won just two of their previous eight league fixtures, and this sees them predicted to finish below high-flying Bournemouth (5th with 72 points) and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United (sixth on 68 points) – one place lower than they ended with Mauricio Pochettino in the 2024/25 campaign.
As somewhat expected after a successful transition season last time out, Andoni iraola – with the help of in-form forward-thinkers Antoine Semenyo, Evanilson, and Justin Kluivert – and Bournemouth are predicted to gain European qualification for the first time since the club’s inception.
Meanwhile, Fulham and Aston Villa are projected to finish in eighth and ninth, each landing on a respectable 61 points. Neither club could complain with this, especially as the latter are juggling Premier League and Champions League football for the first time in over three decades.

Tottenham & Manchester United fall to lowest Premier League finish
Brentford, still very much struggling to balance consistency between their home and away form, are expected to just about clinch a finish inside the top 10, finishing 10th with 50 points. Brighton – under the division’s youngest-ever manager – on 48 points, will follow closely, as their worrying 7-0 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest has asked questions about Fabian Hurzeler’s ability to adapt and overcome as pressure mounts.
That being said, there’s perhaps nobody who will feel more disappointed should the Supercomputer be correct than Ruben Amorim. The Supercomputer has predicted that the former Sporting Lisbon boss will be unable to turn around Manchester United’s worst start to a league season since 1986/87, with them finishing 12th come May 10.
If this proves to be the case, it’ll be the Red Devils’ worst-ever Premier League finish, and they will finish a massive 46 points behind Liverpool, as the post-Ferguson blues continue to trudge on at a worrying rate.
West Ham United are also set to be one of the biggest disappointments after such an exciting summer transfer window, with Julen Lopetegui – formerly of Real Madrid – making way for Graham Potter to guide the Irons to a 14th-placed finish in 2024/25, losing out on 13th to Crystal Palace via goal difference. But given they started life under the old Chelsea boss with an emphatic 3-2 win over Fulham, the London Stadium faithful will hope for more of the same in coming weeks.

Fortunately for the Foxes, the Supercomputer believes that the tally this time is 24 points, a number which the Supercomputer believes they will earn, and Wolverhampton Wanderers will fail to achieve instead. Under Vitor Pereira, who has already overseen stunning victories against Man United and Leicester, the Old Gold are forecasted to struggle amid Matheus Cunha’s prolonged absence, picking up just one more win between now and the end of the season.
