Just one signing was made, but it came with good reason, as David Moyes saved funds for summer business.

So the plan is clear with the Friedkins being sensible, as Everton fans could look forward to a busy first summer transfer window under the new ownership.

However, incomings won’t be the only hectic component of the summer.

The Friedkins have been questioned as everyone is not completely sure if they know what is best for the club.

But the new owners have already made a strong start, with Everton having a positive net spend, which now means the Toffees can strike in the summer.

This has been reiterated but not in the same manner, as according to The i Paper, the Friedkins are set to let go of a large number of players.

Insiders suggest that with a new accounting year kicking in by 1 July, due to financial restructuring of debts, and “significant” PSR headroom, Everton’s position will be much stronger.

The Friedkins are looking to completely restructure the squad, with up to 12 players set to leave in the summer.

Three Everton players who could leave as the Friedkins are not messing about

12 players would no doubt be a large group of stars exiting the door at Everton, and it will be difficult to say who out of the current squad will be leaving.

Michael Keane seems the most likely to leave the club out of the current squad, with his contract expiring in the summer, and Keane receiving interest in January.

Ashley Young is another, as although he’s played his part at the club this season, the 39-year-old is reaching the end of his career, and his contract expires in June.

The final one out of the three will be a tough one to take for Everton fans but Seamus Coleman could leave.

The Toffees veteran’s contract is also up come the summer, and after just three appearances and continuous injury issues, it could bring to an end his long but brilliant tenure.

As bad as it sounds, clearing out the dead wood will help the Friedkins plan for a bright and better future at Everton.
