Goals from Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai, and Virgil van Dijk secured Arne Slot’s side a place at Wembley.
Richarlison started the game with Dominic Solanke still sidelined, but his night was short-lived. He was caught up in early controversy when Virgil van Dijk was lucky to avoid a red card for an elbow—an incident former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett believes warranted some punishment.

The Brazilian striker remained at Spurs through the January transfer window, but Football Insider previously reported that Richarlison wants to leave Tottenham amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.
Injuries have plagued his time at the club fuelling speculation that his future may lie elsewhere. Having already missed 27 games this season—on top of 10 last season—his latest setback has only added to fan frustration.
Many Spurs supporters have now run out of patience, with one fan calling for the club to “rip his contract up” and another saying he “has to be sold” following his injury.
