Ange Postecoglou remains defiant despite Spurs FA Cup exit
Tottenham were knocked out of the FA Cup at Villa Park on Sunday, just a few days after they crashed out of the Carabao Cup, thus handing the club’s hopes of ending the season with silverware a major blow.
However, Postecoglou is certainly not throwing in the towel, insisting that he believes his side still have to tools to launch an assault on the Europa League title this season.
Whether he will get an opportunity to do that remains to be seen as speculation continues to run rife over his future at N17.
Joe Hart’s message to Ange Postecoglou
Former Spurs goalkeeper, Joe Hart, now has a message to Postecoglou, who managed him at Celtic before making the move over to North London.
The 37-year-old admitted that the Tottenham head coach is now going through an extremely testing time and suggested that he needs support from the club.
When asked what his message to Postecoglou is, Hart said (via BBC Sport): “Stay strong, it is a tough moment. You can see Ange Postecoglou feels it. His heart is on his sleeve. And at this moment he is being tested, he is being tested in his beliefs. You need the club behind you and that’s what they really need.”
