Jarrad Branthwaite being tied down to a new contract should be at the very top of the Everton to-do list for The Friedkin Group.
The young centre-back joined the Toffees in 2020 as a 17-year-old, since signing a contract extension until June 2027, but his recent burst into the first-team has been incredible.

Branthwaite is now the most trusted defender at David Moyes’ disposal, even despite James Tarkowski’s heroic efforts against Liverpool, and is one of the most promising prospects in the Premier League.
He became an integral part of the squad last season, starting 35 of the Toffees’ 38 league matches, and has already proven how much the team miss him when not in the squad.
That is exactly why TFG are attempting to reach an agreement with the young talent, and that could be closer than some supporters think.

According to Everton News, the Toffees are in constant discussions with Branthwaite over a new bumper deal at Goodison Park, with the player due a “huge” pay rise.
It is understood that the club are willing to offer that in a new deal, and having been impressed by Moyes and his surrounding staff since his appointment, the 22-year-old is open to staying.
He is still very much on the radar of big European teams, having been the subject of interest from Manchester United, but he has two years left on his current deal on Merseyside.
The Friedkin Group already planning for future
The new owners have already endeared themselves to the supporters, but after Farhad Moshiri‘s controversial reign on Merseyside, that was never going to be a difficult task.
With the Toffees sinking closer and closer to the relegation zone under Sean Dyche, the most important short-term goal was avoiding a drop down to the Championship.
Moyes has already claimed 10 points from a possible in the Premier League since taking over, so with relegation fears relaxing immensely, TFG can start to look ahead to the future.
Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium is ready and waiting for the team to move in ahead of the 2025/26 campaign and a new bumper contract has also been considered for Jordan Pickford.
With a new deal for Idrissa Gana Gueye also on the cards, it is clear how much ambition the new owners have and supporters have every right to be excited.
