Why Jack Grealish’s next choice of club could hand Leeds United a huge boost in battle for £20m star
The search for new signings continues at Leeds United with the transfer window set to re-open on Monday, and Jack Grealish could now have a huge say in Leeds’ battle for a £20m attacker.
Leeds are yet to make any major signings ahead of what is expected to be an incredibly busy window. But Adam Underwood is spinning many plates, and it won’t be long until new signings begin to arrive.
Jaka Bijol has said yes to Leeds, and a deal is expected to be concluded in due course, with Leeds in talks with Udinese over a fee. Other big targets include Habib Diarra, with Leeds tabling a £22m bid for him.
And, of course, there is Manor Solomon. There have been conflicting reports regarding the Israel star’s future, the last of which suggests that new Tottenham boss Thomas Frank wants to look at Solomon first.

Why Jack Grealish’s next move could now affect Manor Solomon
It comes after Solomon was expected to join Leeds permanently, after he scored the goal that secured the Championship trophy for Leeds. A fee between £15m and £20m is expected to be enough for Solomon.
Meanwhile, Jack Grealish is on the move. The Man City star has been left out of City’s Club World Cup squad and GOAL say that Tottenham are the £100m signing’s most likely move during the summer.
According to Israeli outlet Sport 1, Grealish joining Tottenham in the coming months would directly affect Solomon. They say that Spurs would have ‘no choice’ but to sell Solomon in order to cover new costs.

Who could Leeds sign if Manor Solomon remains at Tottenham?
Leeds have not been linked with many wingers this summer and that would suggest the club are not actively considering many options. Perhaps that itself is a sign they have confidence in signing Solomon.

Feyenoord’s Igor Paixao has been linked with Leeds but other, bigger clubs are interested in the £34m-rated Brazilian. Arsenal are among Paixao’s suitors and that makes a deal for him to join Leeds unlikely.
As things stand, Solomon remains in his home country of Israel having just got married in the past few days. It is unlikely he himself has made a decision, but Frank may well want to look at him before selling.
