Everton had to be shrewd in the Janaury transfer window due to PSR issues.
The Toffees were limited in what they could do but they did manage to sign Carlos Alcaraz on an initial loan deal which will become mandatory if certain clauses are met.
Once the financial year ends in June, Everton will be able to spend much more freely and the Friedkin Group are planning to back David Moyes with a substantial budget.
With the stadium move to Bramley-Moore Dock on the horizon, the club want to sign elite talent to match the state-of-the-art ground.
And, that said, it’s clear who David Moyes will want to be signing based on his previous comments.

Everton expected to sign Championship players this summer
Speaking last month, during the January transfer window, David Moyes made his transfer plans abundantly clear, noting that the club will be looking to recruit from the Championship.
“I know we’re in a world where we can pick players from any continent to play in the Premier League,” Moyes explained.
“A long time ago, it wasn’t as easy and maybe people didn’t look as far. We continue to look closer to home, which is the Championship. Last year, the Championship produced some incredible players like (Morgan) Rogers, (Adam) Wharton, (Jaden) Philogene possibly.
“The Championship is always a place we should be looking to see. With the position we’re in, we could do with a couple of seasoned players but if not, we need to get players in to help with the numbers etc.
And, based on recent transfer links, it’s become obvious that will remain his stance ahead of the summer transfer window.
Everton linked to Tom Fellows and Maxime Esteve
On Sunday, Everton News reported that Moyes is planning to make a fresh bid to sign Tom Fellows after his sensational season in the Championship.
The Scotsman is a big fan of the 21-year-old and it’s understood the West Bromwich Albion wide player is keen on a move to Merseyside.
We also ran a report about Everton’s interest in centre-back Maxime Esteve, who Burnley value at in excess of £30m.
So, at this stage, it seems the Toffees are very much planning a raid of all the best talent in the second tier.
