Newcastle United fans were fuming with Lewis Hall for his individual efforts during their humiliating loss against Man City on Saturday (15 February).
The Magpies were hammered 4-0 by Pep Guardiola’s men at the Etihad Stadium after an Omar Marmoush hattrick and a goal from James McAtee.
Savinho managed to pick up one assist as Man City ran riot in the game, whom Hall spent the match attempting to mark.
The result left Newcastle seventh in the league as they failed to capitalise on Chelsea’s defeat, while City were able to extend their gap on Eddie Howe’s team to three points.
The Magpies have now failed to win their previous two wins in the Premier League after coming up short against Fulham on 1 February.
Newcastle will be back in action on Sunday (23 February) against the Premier League’s surprise package, Nottingham Forest.

Lewis Hall had a game to forget against Man City
The 20-year-old has been has been Howe’s first-choice left-back this season at St James’ Park, having made 25 Premier League appearances.
However, it proved to be a game to forget against City as he lost three duels and was dribbled past once.
Hall was only 43 percent successful with his attempted tackles while he only managed to be 79 percent accurate with his 43 attempted passes throughout the game.

Newcastle supporters were left questioning Hall’s quality after the game, with one claiming that he “looks like he’s 36” due to the performance.
Another fan admitted they “really don’t get the hype” surrounding the England international, as others claimed Hall’s efforts were “disgusting.”

I don’t mind getting beat and although I love Lewis hall – his effort at defending was absolutely disgusting today. Embarrassing tbh. Showed the winger the line but positioning was awful then proceeded to jog. Should have been hooked immediately! England? No chance
