Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s troubled time as an Everton player could come to an end this summer.
Since the appointment of David Moyes, fortunes have changed drastically for Everton who look all but set to remain in the Premier League next season.
However, those fortunes haven’t quite changed for Calvert-Lewin who has endured a fairly wretched campaign, scoring just three times in 22 league appearances.
With his contract at Everton due to expire in the summer, a cloud of uncertainty has started to form over his future and if the latest news is anything to go by, he looks all but finished on Merseyside.

Everton chase deal to sign Champions League striker
According to a report from TBR (19 February), Tammy Abraham has been identified as a summer transfer target for the Toffees and should a deal materialise, Calvert-Lewin’s future becomes clear.
Given Abraham’s pedigree, which has seen him net twice for Milan in the Champions League this season, it is highly unlikely he will agree to move to Bramley-Moore Dock to play second fiddle to anyone, let alone someone with as poor a record as Calvert-Lewin.
If a deal happens, Abraham would be the starting striker under David Moyes and it’s fair to assume that Calvert-Lewin wouldn’t be best pleased about that.
At this stage, the best option for all parties is to go their separate ways. Calvert-Lewin gets a chance to rekindle his career elsewhere while Everton can secure a major upgrade to their attacking lineup.

Everton must begin summer planning
This upcoming summer window has the potential to be the biggest in the recent history of Everton and they simply have to get every decision spot on.
If Abraham could be brought in to replace Calvert-Lewin, it would be a fantastic start to that rebuild, which will play a pivotal role in the future of the Toffees.
Several other players could find themselves departing Goodison Park, with no entry to Bramley-Moore as they seek greener pastures elsewhere, while players across Europe will undoubtedly be keen to move to Merseyside and play their part in this Everton revival.
