Darren Bent has been left questioning Everton and their decision-making process about Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract scenario.
The Englishman has spent the last couple of weeks sidelined due to injury but before his absence, he was the man that both Sean Dyche and David Moyes relied upon to lead their attacking lines.
Since then, Beto has more than fulfilled the role of being the Toffees’ focal point as he’s managed to net four goals in his last three Premier League games.
With Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation still up in the air, Bent has been left somewhat confused regarding what’s happening with his future.

The future of the former Sheffield United man has been a thing that has hung over the heads of most people involved at Goodison Park.
Whether it be the fans or even Dyche and Moyes themselves, a decision about Calvert-Lewins’ future needs to be agreed upon soon.
In both the summer and winter transfer windows different clubs such as Newcastle were linked with a move for the 27-year-old but nothing ever came to fruition.
However, speaking live on talkSPORT (17 February), Bent gave his verdict on what Everton need to do.
“Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract is up, what’s that scenario about? I definitely think they’re going to have to make decisions on certain players as well,” he said.
“They’re going to have to bring players in.”
David Moyes has a big summer ahead of him at Goodison Park
While Moyes may have been able to turn around Everton’s fortunes on the pitch, it still feels like more needs to be done off of it.
Indeed, Carlos Alcaraz was added to the Merseyside outfit’s ranks in the winter transfer window in order to relieve some pressure from the shoulders of players such as Iliman Ndiaye and even Dwight McNeil upon his return from injury.
However, it’s evident that several more areas within Everton’s squad need reinforcing before they get left behind.
Players such as Ashley Young and Seamus Coleman are in their twilight years and while Nathan Patterson is an option to replace the latter, it speaks volumes that Moyes has been choosing to start Jake O’Brien out of position at full-back over the Scotsman.

The Toffees desperately need reinforcement in the summer because if they don’t, they could be left in the dust by their rivals.
Which, at the end of the day is likely the last thing that The Friedkin Group or Moyes want to happen, especially after the great escape the former West Ham United boss has managed to pull off since taking over from Dyche last month.
