Leicester City and Brentford went head-to-head in a Premier League meeting at the King Power Stadium on Friday.
The Foxes went into the match looking to put an end to a dire run of form that has seen them slip down to 19th in the Premier League table.
Ipswich Town were on the same points with a better goal difference ahead of the weekend’s action getting underway, while Wolverhampton Wanderers were two points clear.
Leicester City had lost nine of their previous 10 league matches before Friday while Brentford kicked off in 11th place with two wins and one draw from five.
The Foxes had a lively start to the match but were once again poor at the back, allowing Yoane Wissa to fire Brentford in front after 17 minutes.
Bryan Mbeumo doubled the away outfit’s lead 10 minutes later with Leicester’s backline awful yet again.
The game was over by the 32nd minute when Christian Norgaard easily won a header from a free-kick to make it 3-0. A fourth goal was added in the 89th minute and that’s how the tie ended.

Mads Hermansen – 2
Didn’t make any glaring mistakes but conceded too many goals.
Woyo Coulibaly – 2
A very lively showing going forward from the January addition though he was lucky not to give away a penalty early on.
Wout Faes – 1
Dismal in the air, barely made a single challenge. Another awful showing from the centre-back.
Caleb Okoli – 1
Has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks but it was a night to forget for the former Atalanta BC man.
Victor Kristiansen – 1
Had rings ran around him all night, allowed Bryan Mbeumo far too much space for Brentford’s second.
Wilfred Ndidi – 2
Gave Leicester some much-needed stability in midfield after his recent return from injury but that completely dissipated against Brentford.
Boubakary Soumare – 2
Really didn’t do enough to cover Leicester’s backline, was late to a lot of challenges and his marking was poor.
Bobby De Cordova Reid – 2
Drew ire from fans across the 90 minutes for his lack of attacking threat and, like basically every player on the pitch, couldn’t track or mark his man to save his life.
Bilal El Khannouss – 2
By no means the worse player on the pitch but just didn’t do enough to create chances.
Jordan Ayew – 1
Poor tracking back allowed Brentford too many chances down their right and didn’t offer much going forward.
Jamie Vardy – 4
Was probably the only bright spark for Leicester on the night, had a couple of chances and actually looked like he cared.
Substitutes
Stephy Mavididi – 2
Offered a bit more than De Cordova Reid but still wasn’t amazing.
Facundo Buonanotte – 4
Great reaction when he came on and looked threatening at times but couldn’t turn the game around by himself.
Jannik Vestergaard – 2
Brought on at half-time and was slightly better defensively than the man he replaced.
