Harvey Barnes provided Newcastle fans with a training update as the side prepare to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Barnes was an unused substitute Newcastle’s 4-0 defeat to Man City at the Etihad Stadium in the last Premier League match.
Newcastle fans have urged the club to drop Martin Dubravka after his performance, with some wanting Nick Pope to gain his starting place back in the side when they face Nottingham Forest on 23 February.
Barnes has been linked with a move away as the side look to avoid any trouble with Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR).
His limited game time may play a role in any potential sale, but despite the swirling rumours, Barnes remains focused and engaged with the fans, offering them a glimpse into training as he aims to contribute more to the team’s efforts.

The winger posted numerous pictures from training on Instagram after making his return to the bench against Manchester City.

Having struggled with injuries in recent weeks, he has managed only one appearance this entire calendar year. His update was met with support from teammates Kieran Trippier, Lewis Hall, and Jacob Murphy, who all liked his post.
This season, Barnes has primarily played a rotational role, featuring in 25 matches, scoring five goals, and providing one assist in a total of 1,006 minutes.
While he is often deployed on the left wing, his playing time has been limited due to the incredible form of Anthony Gordon.

Newcastle may consider selling Harvey Barnes
Football Insider has revealed that Newcastle could be “forced” to sell Barnes due to their challenging financial situation.
