Jarrad Branthwaite has recaptured his best Everton form since the appointment of David Moyes last month and remains a key part of the side at Goodison Park.
He has played 90 minutes in each fixture since Moyes’ return to Merseyside – which has seen the Toffees lose just one of seven Premier League fixtures.
Branthwaite signed an Everton extension in October 2023 after interest and offers from Man United – and that deal is set to expire in June 2027, with the club holding an option to extend by a further 12 months.
Real Madrid, who are managed by ex-Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, have shown an interest in the one-cap England international.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – has had his say on Branthwaite signing a new contract on Merseyside.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness has claimed the centre-back would have to become the highest earner at Everton if he is to stay at the club.

The Toffees’ financial situation has been boosted by The Friedkin Group’s takeover, which was completed in December 2024.

Wyness insisted Branthwaite could command a weekly wage of around £200,000 if he commits his future to Everton.
He told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “He’s going to become the highest-paid player at the club if he signs a new deal, for a start.
“I think he could end up getting around £200,000-a-week to keep him here.
“That’s the sort of scale we’re talking about here, he’s a huge young talent.
“He’ll have to be the highest-paid player at the club if he’s going to be persuaded to stay.”
Everton working on signing Lindstrom replacement
Meanwhile, industry expert Mick Brown has told Football Insider (22 February) that Everton have begun working behind the scenes to sign a replacement for Jesper Lindstrom.
The winger is currently on loan from Napoli and Moyes is set to have the final say on a potential permanent transfer.
It has been claimed the scouting team at Goodison Park have turned their attention to potential replacements who could add more threat going forward.
