IFAB have announced goalkeeper’s will be penalised for holding on to the ball for more than eight seconds.Should the referee punish the goalkeeper, a corner kick will be awarded to the opposition.
Pickford has been praised for his Everton displays this season, but the England international is going to have to be wary of the new regulations for next season.

This season, Pickford has been awarded six yellow cards, and three of those have come as a result of time wasting.
Although those have come as a result of goal-kicks and set pieces being delayed, Pickford is going to have to keep an eye on how long he keeps ahold of the ball going forward.
