Niclas Fullkrug joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund seven months ago in a deal believed to be worth up to £27.5 million.
However, things have gone terribly for him at the London Stadium, and he apparently instructed his agents to find him a new club before the January window.
Unfortunately for the 32-year-old though, he suffered a serious hamstring injury at the start of January, making a winter move away from West Ham impossible.

However, he will undoubtedly get another chance to leave the club.
In fact, it has already been leaked that the Hammers want to sell Fullkrug this summer.
Graham Potter has brought in Evan Ferguson on loan, and is looking at signing other striker in the summer, including the likes of Jonathan David.
So the Hammers head coach will not have any room for Fullkrug in his squad.

The former Dortmund man has endured a torrid time in East London.
The German was a horrendous signing in the first place from the Hammers – a really poorly thought out move from former Hammers director of football Tim Steidten.
And now West Ham are doing everything in their power to move him on in the summer.
However, Fullkrug, who earns £96k-a-week at West Ham (Give Me Sport), is trying equally as hard to seal an exit from the club.
According to club insiders Claret and Hugh, the Germany international is so desperate to leave the Hammers that he’s prepared to take a big pay-cut in order to help facilitate a summer transfer.
If that doesn’t prove how unhappy the experienced striker is at the London Stadium then I’m not sure what does.
Two top strikers will take West Ham to another level
Hopefully the Hammers are successful in moving Fullkrug on this summer.
Then we can build from the bottom and start again.
Whether or not West Ham sign Evan Ferguson permanently remains to be seen.
However, there are two strikers out there who would elevate us to the very top tier – Liam Delap and Jonathan David.
The Hammers have been linked with both forwards already, and the pace and power they would bring to the London Stadium would make us a truly electric attacking outfit.
Are the West Ham board really ambitious enough to secure those two signings though? I highly doubt it.
That said, West Ham selling Niclas Fullkrug would certainly help Potter mount a big assault on the transfer market this summer.
