A shock club could stun world football by offering three players in a bid to sign Newcastle United star Alexander Isak.

Looking ahead to the summer transfer window, Isak is set to be one of the most sought-after players after his impressive form for the Magpies.

The 25-year-old moved to Newcastle from Real Sociedad in a deal worth a reported fee of £63 million back in the summer of 2022.

Since then, the Swedish international has developed into one of the best strikers in world football, having scored 57 goals in 98 appearances for the Magpies.

The likes of Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain are all said to be interested in the striker.

As reported by Caught Offside, RMC Sport’s Daniel Riolo claimed that PSG could even include a few of their first team players in what would be a stunning swap deal.

Riolo said of PSG’s interest in Isak: “Wouldn’t you go all-in on Alexander Isak if you were PSG?

“PSG could very well go all-in. Can we swap Ramos and Kolo Muani for Isak? Can we make a package like that? You also add Asensio to the package. And come on, I’ll throw in Kang-In Lee too.”

So far in the 24/25 season, the 25-year-old has scored 22 goals and assisted five in 31 appearances across all competitions.

In the Premier League, Isak’s tally of 19 goals is only bettered by Erling Haaland (20) and Mohamed Salah (25).

Having played 24 matches in the Premier League, Isak is averaging 0.86 goals per 90 minutes, which is better than Haaland (0.78) and falls just short of Salah (0.91).

On Sunday, Isak scored for Newcastle during their FA Cup defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion but was seen limping off in the second half.

With the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool just under two weeks away, Newcastle fans will be left worried over Isak’s fitness.

Manager Eddie Howe said after the match: “[Alexander] Isak had some tightness in his body, but not an injury. The longer it went on, the greater the risk so he was taken off before any problems.

“We need the week to dust ourselves down and regroup, as we have been tested. We had a small squad, we couldn’t get Sven [Botman] fit and we can’t afford to lose anyone else.”
