Everton’s 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening means they now occupy 14th place in the Premier League table, ten points clear of the Old Gold in 17th.
It has been nothing short of a stunning turnaround under David Moyes in recent weeks, and it appears as though their status as a top flight team for the 2025/26 campaign is all but confirmed.
Against Wolves, the Toffees took the lead through Jack Harrison. The on-loan winger scored from just inside the opposition penalty area to give his side the lead.
The Molineux outfit equalised seven minutes later courtesy of Marshall Munetsi, however, and it stayed that way until the end, as both teams earned a point.
It could be a vital one in Wolves’ task of avoiding the drop, while Moyes has lost just twice during his second spell at Goodison Park.

James Tarkowski was solid at the back, making six clearances, winning 100% of his aerial duels and completing 87% of his passes, ensuring Everton secured a point.
In midfield, Idrissa Gueye won an impressive 11 ground duels during the contest, along with losing possession six times and making eight tackles, showcasing his tenacity against the Old Gold.
There were several other decent showings, although both Abdoulaye Doucoure and James Garner failed to really demonstrate their true abilities against Wolves in what were disappointing showings.

It was Beto who was arguably the worst player on the pitch for Everton, failing to build on the progress he had achieved over the previous few weeks with a poor display in front of goal.

Under Moyes, Beto had scored five goals in his previous five games for the Merseyside outfit. Against Wolves, he struggled majorly.
The centre-forward took fewer touches than Jordan Pickford (26 vs 47), while he managed just two shots on target, lost ten total duels and lost possession 12 times throughout the encounter.
Beto even managed to complete just four passes during the 90 minutes, the lowest number of anyone in either of the two lineups, while he also missed two big chances that could have secured all three points for the Toffees.
Journalist Chris Beesley of the Liverpool Echo gave the forward a match rating of just 6/10 for his performance in the Midlands. Could Moyes drop him ahead of the clash against West Ham United next week at Goodison?
Youssef Chermiti has battled injury issues all season, but he was on the bench for the tie against Wolves, although he failed to make it onto the pitch.
