Everton were held to a 1-1 draw at Molineux after taking the lead in the first half.
The Toffees and Wolves shared spoils at Molineux with both the teams scored in the first half.
Jack Harrison opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, breaking his goal draught, scoring a goal after 36 appearances. However, his goal was cancelled out seven minutes later as Marshall Munetsi scored for the hosts.
Everton’s draw puts them in 14th place, level on points with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and West ham United. Although, all three sides will be in action on Sunday and Monday and will have a chance to jump over the Toffees.
Jack Harrison splendid vs Wolves
Harrison spent the last season on loan at Everton and was commended for his efficient spell at Goodison Park. He forged a good relationship with the fans who wanted to see him back at Everton for the 2024-25 season.
His industrious performance propelled the Merseysiders to bring him back at the club on loan from Leeds United.
This season hasn’t been highly rewarding for the Englishman as he struggled to generate the goals and assists for the Toffees. Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil were preferred over the 28-year-old. Before the Wolves game, Harrison had 23 Premier League appearances under his belt but no goals or assists to boast.

That changed against Wolves as he scored a fine goal to break his goalscoring draught and support the Toffees in the attack. David Moyes insisted that he expected more in the attack from Harrison and he finally delivered.
His solid performance against Wolves impressed many and TNT Sports pundit Lucy Ward was one of them. She was impressed with Harrison’s goal.
Ward said on TNT Sports (8:33 p.m, 8th March): “It’s a really nice ball from Jimmy Garner across to Harrison and I think the thing that makes for Harrison is his first touch. He did absolutely fabulous when the ball comes to him.
“Trying to play out from the back, he comes forward. Look at how many bodies have Everton got forward as they are trying to press high. It’s a nice little ball.
“Great first touch[from Harrison] and then it just skids.”
Everton well out of relegation danger
Back in January, Everton fans were dreading another relegation battle as then manager Sean Dyche was struggling to squeeze results even from winnable games.
What could have been a long and gruelling relegation fight has turned into an easy ride to safety, following the appointment of Moyes as manager. Dyche was relieved of his duties after Everton’s loss to Bournemouth in January.
Since the arrival of Moyes, the Merseysiders have picked up 16 points out of a possible 27, winning four games and losing just once. The Toffees are 16 points clear of the drop zone and only a series of shambolic performances will see Everton nosedive into the relegation spots.
That is going to be highly unlikely under Moyes, who has infused a new sense of optimism and energy in the squad. The Scotsman will now aim to carry forward the momentum and help Everton achieve a respectable finish in their last season at Goodison Park.
