Everton star Jesper Lindstrom has commented on Toffees teammate Jack Harrison’s Instagram post, after the Leeds loanee scored his first goal of the Premier League season.

The duo combined for the Toffees’ opening goal at Molineux, as Lindstrom’s pass found Harrison whose deflected effort got the better of Wolves shotstopper Jose Sa on 33 minutes.

However, just five minutes before half-time, Vitor Pereira’s men found their equaliser through January signing Marshall Munetsi, which ensured that the game finished 1-1.

Lindstrom comments as Harrison shares delight at Molineux goal

Everton wideman Harrison scored three goals and created three assists in the Premier League last term, when the Toffees avoided relegation to the Championship despite being handed points deductions.

Therefore, the Goodison Park faithful may have been surprised that the winger on loan from Leeds had not managed a single goal contribution in 23 top-flight outings this season, prior to his side’s visit to Wolves.

Harrison took to Instagram to share how pleased he was to bag a milestone first goal of the season: “Finally!

“Made up to be back in the goals, disappointed not to win.

“Thank you to my teammates, the staff and fans for all the support.

“See you back at Goodison next week.”

Assist-maker Lindstrom was among those to comment and wrote: “Yess!!! Bro” accompanied by a flame emoji and a blue heart.

Everton will hope Harrison can kick on following Wolves goal

Everton have been on resurgent form since David Moyes returned to the dugout at Goodison Park back in January, and have enjoyed an eight-game unbeaten streak in the Premier League following their draw with Wolves.

Moyes’ return to the Merseyside club has seen them pull their selves clear of the relegation zone, and they can now look forward to beginning life in their new stadium at Bramley-Moore dock in the Premier League next season.

However, within their run of eight games without a top-flight defeat, the Toffees have now endured three consecutive draws which will come as a disappointment.

Everton were not pleased by the fact that during their last game on home soil, they held a 2-0 lead over Manchester United before being pegged back to 2-2.

They were then held to consecutive 1-1 draws on away turf at the hands of Brentford and Wolves, and will be hoping for more when they host West Ham on 15 March.

If Harrison can continue to produce the goods in an attacking sense, it could be enough to help Moyes’ men turn their draws into wins.
