Everton have found themselves coming up against the football governing bodies over recent years.

The Friedkin Group took over in December and instantly felt the effects of PSR from the previous owner in the January transfer window.

David Moyes was shocked by how badly PSR affected Everton earlier this year, with the club already being handed points deductions as a result.

But there have been other instances where Everton have found themselves clashing with the powers that be.

Everton will be frustrated by the Premier League’s delay of SAOT, which could have eliminated some of their controversial offside calls this season.

Moyes has the Toffees in a much more positive position than when he joined the club, but it will be easy to get frustrated when seeing some of the hypocritical actions in the English top flight.

The FA’s stance on controversial Manchester United celebration

Everton were left furious against Manchester United recently following the VAR decision that overturned their late penalty award.

And it seems the Toffees will have even more grounds to be annoyed after the Red Devils have had another ruling go in their favour.

According to the Daily Mail, The FA will not be taking any action against Rasmus Hojlund for his recent celebration performed against Leicester City.

The Denmark international used a gesture from the Gladiator movie, which may be taken in a offensive manner by some fans.

Although the striker has performed his celebration before, his poor record in front of goal means it has not been displayed too often this season.

Everton fans have slammed the Premier League’s stance on celebrations, with the Toffees coming under scrutiny already this year.

But it seems The FA are not keeping a collaborative message alongside the Premier League on the matter.

Iliman Ndiaye will be furious after his Everton celebration warning

Just a couple of months ago, Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye found himself on the receiving end of a subtle warning by the Premier League.

Ndiaye was applauded by Brighton fans for his celebration against them back in January.

The Senegal international imitated a seagull when celebrating his goal from the penalty spot down on the south coast.

However, the celebration – alongside Myles Lewis-Skelly’s – sparked a warning from the Premier League that sanctions could be introduced for such celebrations.

Despite Ndiaye’s being well received by the Brighton fans, the Everton forward found himself being warned, unlike Hojlund, who has seemingly been given approval from The FA to continue celebrating in such a manner.
