Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon needed to be helped off the pitch after taking a nasty whack in England’s 2-0 win over Albania on Friday night.
Gordon was a late introduction after sitting the last two matches out due to suspension with the Magpies after his red card against Brighton & Hove Albion. The Scouse forward had endured Carabao Cup final agony after a ban and now will face assessment after being walked off the field by physios.

Gordon held the top of his hip in the closing stages after a challenge. ITV pundit Lee Dixon had said: “That’s not good. He knows it’s right at the end of the game, it’s something to do with his hip.”
Gordon had only came on the field for the last 17 minutes of the game and he managed 11 touches in that time. As the match finished, England assistant Anthony Barry went straight over to Gordon to show concern as he hobbled off before the medical team were called over to walk him down the tunnel.
