There has been a lot of noise around Celtic wanting to sign Miller for a few transfer windows now, and some felt that the champions-elect should have signed the Motherwell star in the winter.

Before Miller could take to the crease to bat, he came out and stated that, ‘I’m obviously not going to go in and be the best player there, but I believe I could maybe in a couple of months be the best player there’.
Somehow, these comments have received a mixed reaction and criticism, but his club teammate, Stephen O’Donnell was quick to defend the youngster, as he told Go Radio.
O’Donnell loved the confidence from Miller and questioned why there is such a negative mindset towards Scotland players.
“We always go on about trying to have a confidence,” said O’Donnell. “We always say how bad we are as players in Scotland. We always see maybe the funny side.
“If he was, and I know him well, saying he wants to be the best, then great. He is a talented footballer. What would you rather him say? ‘I don’t think I deserve to be here. I am not going to be good enough and I will never be an international footballer’.
“Is that what we rather him say? I am delighted that he is positive. He has bags of talent. I am sure he will go and get to see how good these players are. Hopefully, that will motivate him to push even harder and maybe get there in a couple of months. I am sure he will get there, if it isn’t in a couple of months.”

At the end of the day, Miller isn’t being linked to Celtic for no good reason, it’s to help the club continue to dominate under Brendan Rodgers.
